Our Status
Chesterton Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (pending). We aim to keep tuition low to allow all families to attend. Tuition for the 2025-2026 school year is $8,900 per student, less than half the cost of diocesan schools. As a result of our low tuition, we must raise considerable funds to meet our operating budget since it costs far more than $8,900 to educate our students.
Our Need
We are committed to financial prudence and therefore need to raise 100% of the tuition gap (the difference between our annual budget and annual tuition revenue) by the end of our fiscal year, which is June 30, 2024.The tuition gap for the 2025-2026 school year is $500,000. We need to raise $500,000 by June 30, 2025, to fund the school. This will help cover the faculty and staff salaries and new furniture and supplies as we expand to three grade levels.That is a considerable amount, indeed, but we are confident there are enough people of good will who believe in the importance of our school and want to invest in something that produces real, lasting, tangible results: namely, young people who know Christ, love the Church, and radiate the genius of our Catholic tradition.
Our Stability
We have completed a detailed five-year financial plan to project our revenues, expenses, personnel, and fundraising needs over the next several years. We are confident in our financial stability, which will only become more solid each year as enrollment grows and the tuition gap decreases. Chesterton Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas announces the founding of the Headmaster’s Club, a donor appreciation society for parents, grandparents, businesses and friends who believe in a joyfully classical education in the Catholic tradition. Headmaster’s Club members have an immediate impact on CASTA with their extraordinary generosity, beginning with gifts of $5,000. They support the school financially and also pray for us and invite others to attend events and learn more about Chesterton Academy. In return for their investment, Headmaster’s Club members can expect invitations to special masses and exclusive events.
