The Teachers Who Form Our Students.

Over two decades of faithful service in Catholic education. A graduate of Christendom College with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Theology, Patrick has dedicated his career to forming young minds and hearts in truth, beauty, and goodness. Since 2002 he served at Holy Family Academy, teaching twenty-eight different courses across grades 6–12 and directing the high school choir. He is also the founder and current Athletic Director of CASTA's thriving sports program, which engages over 70% of the student body, and as Dean of Students oversees discipline, student life, and day-to-day operations — a cornerstone of the school community who leads by example.

A humanities teacher at CASTA, Ms. Kumon received her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Christendom College, with a minor in Theology. She enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling.

Ms. Saffian teaches chemistry and precalculus. She graduated from Hillsdale College in 2025 with a mathematics major and classics minor, where she found an interest in languages, especially Hebrew and Latin. Her love of learning new things is matched only by her love of picking up new creative hobbies.

Mrs. Hambleton joined the CASTA faculty in fall 2025, teaching studio art to high school students. She studied fine art at Charles Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy, and grew up in the home of a local artist, her father, Henry Wingate, in whose studio she is currently pursuing her own career as an artist and teacher.

Mrs. Krasny has a 22-year career in education both overseas and in Virginia, and holds an M.Ed. with an endorsement in Gifted and Talented education. She has two published novels, with a third in the editing stage, and loves to garden, arrange flowers, and go for long walks.

Father Charles Smith is the pastor of St. John's the Evangelist in Warrenton, Virginia.
